We work closely with the QRC coordinator, encourage students to get involved with the QRC, and we meet with QRC students! 

The Queer Resource Center seeks to empower and unite LGBTQI+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex,+) students at CCSF by providing specialized resources and a safe space for LGBTQI+ students and allies to work on their personal and educational goals. Students can utilize this space for studying, printing, and accessing the QRC food shelves. The QRC also hosts events focused on personal enrichment and education, reflecting the lived experiences of the San Francisco Bay Area's LGBTQI+ community. 

We work in partnership with the LGBT Studies Department where we serve as counseling liaisons. The LGBT Studies department offers degrees and courses that focus on the intersections of sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, race, ethnicity, socioeconomics, global location, religion, and ability. 

CCSF’s LGBT Studies Department offers numerous courses covering LGBTQ+ subject matter. However, numerous other academic departments also offer courses that cover LGBTQ+ subject matter. Note: not all courses listed are offered each term and this list is subject to change.

  • Funds & Support to Make College Affordable
  • Paying for the cost of a college education requires a partnership among parents, students and the college. Each partner has responsibilities to fulfill in meeting that cost. The purpose of the Financial Aid Office at CCSF is to provide financial aid assistance and eligibility awareness to all current and prospective students as they pursue their educational goals. Financial aid is money that helps pay for the cost of education (college fees, books and supplies).

  • ������Ƶ offers a variety of scholarships to help you pay for the costs of attending college.  Scholarships are awarded to students based on various special qualifications, such as academic achievement, artistic abilities, demonstrated leadership, and athletic talents, or to students who are in particular fields of study, who are from a particular heritage, who are members of underrepresented groups, or who demonstrate a financial need.

  • The CCSF Dan Allen Memorial Scholarship: This CCSF LGBT Studies Department Scholarship is awarded each year to an LGBTQI2+ student who maintains a strong commitment to community service and political activism.
• LGBTQI2+ Scholarships
  • Our Departmental Scholarship is awarded each year to an LGBTQI2+ student who maintains a strong commitment to community service and political activism. 
• • eQuality is the joint effort of a group of individuals and organizations based in the San Francisco Bay Area (see list on Home page). It began in 1989 as a scholarship program by Pacific Gas and Electric Company's lesbian and gay employee group, now PG&E PrideNetwork. The following year, the Bay Area Network of Gay and Lesbian Educators joined the effort. Additional members have joined eQuality over the years, and more are always welcome.

  • Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM), Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional association for LGBTQ+ people in the STEM community. With over 100 student chapters at colleges/universities and professional chapters in cities across the United States and abroad, oSTEM is the largest chapter-based organization focused on LGBTQ+ people in STEM.
  • oSTEM offers scholarships for students who identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community
• • This $500 scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate resilience, leadership, and a commitment to positive change. It honors those whose unique perspectives and advocacy reflect an understanding of how identities such as race, gender, socioeconomic status, LGBTQ+ identities, and more intersect to shape lived experiences.

The QT Club seeks to empower and unite Queer POC (people of color) and LGBTQI+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, +) students at ������Ƶ by fostering a safe space on campus for Queer POC, LGBTQI+ students, and allies to socialize and connect with our community on and off campus. By establishing this club a ������Ƶ, we hop to lay the foundation so future generations continue to see what is possible when we create opportunities and quality time for our Queer POC and LGBTQI+ students and allies.

  • The Student Health Center is open during Fall, Spring, and Summer instruction, and is closed during periods of no instruction (e.g., days of no instruction for fall and spring semesters as posted on the CCSF calendar, winter break, spring break, and the period between spring semester until the beginning of summer courses, and from the end of summer courses until the beginning of fall courses.
• Wellness Counseling
  • Mental Health Services offer personal counseling to provide a confidential, safe place where you can focus on your concerns and we can help you deal with whatever’s getting in the way of living your life in the most fulfilling way.

• Title 5 Discrimination including sex or gender, gender identification, gender expression, and sexual orientation

• Unlawful Discrimination is defined as “unfair or unequal treatment of an individual (or group) based on an actual or perceived characteristic related to ethnic group identification, immigration status, religion, age, sex or gender, gender identification, gender expression, military and veteran status, marital status, medical condition, race, color, ancestry, sexual orientation or physical or mental disability or any other characteristic protected under application federal or state law.” Section 59311(d) of Title 5.
• Informal Resolution: Informal resolution efforts are optional under Title IX and Title 5 regulations and my only be implemented with the complainant’s consent.

The CCSF HARTS Program provides student support services to current credit CCSF students who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing housing insecurity

SparkPoint CCSF Basic Needs Center support students by bridging the gap they experience when they attempt to connect to the numerous campus resources and services. We intend to help improve access and navigation to student essential resources available to foster students' academic success and economic prosperity at ������Ƶ. Our center strives to provide equitable, trauma-informed, student-centered support, inclusive of our needs-based, equity populations, credit and non-credit students as well as our college community in the areas of Basic Needs, Employment & Education and Financial Support.
